Penergetic Company during a visit to the school
The Dean Prof Bernard Njehia, Dr. Nicholas Korir and MSc student Kibet with a team from Penergetic Company during a visit to the school. Penergetic is a manufacturer of plant and animal growth boosters and their products are marketed worldwide. SAED is drafting an MoU with Penergetic to help the company penetrate and increase its presence in Kenya's agricultural sector. The company has committed herself to walk with SAED in the development of dryland agriculture at our Kitui Campus. The company will also support MSc students to conduct research in dryland agriculture
KU-OSHO Chemicals collaboration project exhibition during the RUFORUM conference 2018. Six SAED students conducting research under the project also presented posters under the leadership of the projects Principal Investigator,Prof. Waceke Wanjohi (Fourth from Left).

Ms. Monicah Wangeci Ndung’u (right) , a third year BSc. Agriculture student at the School of Agriculture Enterprise & Development in a company of two other Students from Kenyatta University who attended a 3 months (March –May ,2018) Erasmas Exchange Program at Scent Istavan University, Hungary.


Entry Requirements
i. In addition to meeting the University entrance requirements of overall C+ at KCSE or equivalent, candidates for admission to the B. Sc. Agribusiness Management and Trade programme are required to have obtained a minimum of C+ in Mathematics and in two of the following combinations: Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture or Geography, and Economics or Business Studies and Physical Science.
ii. Grade C in KCSE or its equivalent and two-year (minimum) Diploma with a credit in Agriculture, commerce, Accounting, Economics, farm management, Agribusiness or any other discipline from an Institution recognized by Kenyatta University Senate.


i. The common rules and regulations for BSc degree of Kenyatta University shall apply
ii. Students enrolled for the Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness) degree program will be expected to take written examinations on all taught units.
iii. The examinations will constitute 70% of the total marks while the course work assessment tests (CATS) will constitute 30%. Each unit shall be graded out of 100% and the pass mark for each unit shall be 40% of the total marks. These marks shall be translated into literal grades as:
• 70% and above =A
• 60% and above but less than 70% =B
• 50% and above but less than 60% =C
• 40% and above but less than 50% =D
• Below 40% =E (fail)
The degree to be awarded is designated: Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Agribusiness Management).
