Penergetic Company during a visit to the school
The Dean Prof Bernard Njehia, Dr. Nicholas Korir and MSc student Kibet with a team from Penergetic Company during a visit to the school. Penergetic is a manufacturer of plant and animal growth boosters and their products are marketed worldwide. SAED is drafting an MoU with Penergetic to help the company penetrate and increase its presence in Kenya's agricultural sector. The company has committed herself to walk with SAED in the development of dryland agriculture at our Kitui Campus. The company will also support MSc students to conduct research in dryland agriculture

  • Management of Vectors (Thrips, Frankliniella williamsi and Aphids ) of Maize Lethal Necrosis Disease causing viruses, Maize Chlorotic Mottle virus, Sugarcane Mosaic mottle virus
  • Control of Invasive pests : Liriomyza species by use of Botanical pesticides and Biological control strategies ( Parasitoids; Diglyphus Isaea, Phydrotoma scabriventris) in Horticultural Vegetables and fruits .
  • Crop protection practices through control of disease pathogens, their vectors and pests of crops
  • Fall army worm control strategies
