COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH

Collaborative work with IITA, ICRAF and ALLIANCE of BIOVISION and CIAT on a project – Agroecology Imitative together with Dr. Cargele Masso, Dr. Fredrick Baijukya to mentor two MSc and one PhD (2022-2025).
Collaboration with International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)- (i) with support from Dr. Masso Cargele and Dr. Moses Thuita, sponsored Winnie Kimutai for MSc in Agronomy (KU-AST department) under;- COWBIA ‘’Multi-purpose cowpea inoculation for improved yields in smallholder farms in Kenya’’ (ii) With support from Dr. Cargele Masso and Dr. Moses Thuita under COMPRO II project sponsored Catherine Mathenge to undertake MSc Agronomy (KU-AST Department), (iii) with Support from Dr. Cargele Masso under International Nitrogen Management System-INMS, partially supported MSc (Agronomy) thesis for Winnie Ntinyari (KU-AST department), Winnie Ntinyari – PhD under INMS (full scholarship) starting June 2019. KALRO/KENYA WILDLIFE – Hilda Manzi and Symon Njinju – PhD scholarship starting 2019.
2017: Collaborated with University of Nairobi, Rockefeller foundation, FAO and others in organising the 1^st All Africa postharvest conference.
2017: Collaborated with the University of Nairobi, KEFRI, JKUAT, Pwani University participated in Kenya Coastal Development Projected (KCDP) where four students were offered full scholarships to study in Kenyatta University to undertake Masters courses in (i) Agronomy (1 student), (ii) Zoology (1 student) and (iii) Environment (2 students).
